Tucker Day, a one-day festival held in May each year, brings music, food, and arts and craft vendors to Tucker’s Main Street. Tucker’s three parks and recreation center offer a variety of activities from soccer, tennis, baseball, and basketball to swimming, picnicking, lakes, and forest trails. Dining and nightlife options within Tucker are limited, but it’s easy to find restaurants and cafes for every taste and budget within a short drive.

Tucker’s award-winning cluster schools are part of the DeKalb County School District. Five neighborhood elementary schools feed Tucker Middle School, which feeds Tucker High School. The high school is a model for athletic and academic excellence, boasting state football and basketball championships, as well as a graduation rate that consistently outperforms state averages.
